Intertidal researcher

You don't need to go far to find strange and incredible creatures. On this trip, our experienced nature guide takes both young and old aspiring researchers out to explore the peculiar creatures in the shore. We will examine what lives in the shore and take scientific samples to see if we find any microscopic organisms. Equipped with magnifying glasses, identification keys, and an aquarium, we explore the nearby areas around Runde Environmental Center to see what we can discover. Perhaps we'll find something new together, giving you insight into the work of a real researcher.

This is an activity that suits all ages excellently and is a perfect family activity. Since the trip is along the shore, we recommend good footwear and clothes that can withstand use.

Practical info

Since the trip goes along the shore, we recommend good shoes with ankle support. Western Norway is a harsh weather place, so it can be wise to bring waterproof outerwear and practical warm clothes. We also encourage bringing a dry change, both shoes and clothes.
