Fall on Runde

It is the season for a lot of weather and wind, and at Runde the weather comes in from the ocean. Runde is therefore the best place to get the most powerful impression of the weather. The waves hit the rocks and the sea spray envelops the mountain in seafoam. The wind is howling and it's so strong you can lean against it. It is possible to go from Goksøyra, or to go along the Otreskredane. Simply a fantastic trip!

It is also possible to take a trip with our nature guide. Here we take the same hike, but you will also learn about the unique nature and island culture . After the tour, we will have dinner together. A unique opportunity to experience the best Norway has to offer.

If you decide to make the trip on a stormy day, and have the opportunity to spend the night, we recommend renting a place at the Runde lighthouse. There you can experience the storm up close, while being warm and cozy inside the cabin. If you want a little more luxury, we also offer accommodation near the mountain, with a view of the sea and the weather.

On Sundays the café at Runde Miljøsenter is open. Here it is possible to have a bite to eat, a coffe and perhaps a look at the Runde treasure exhibition. On some Sundays there are talks at the center that are worth attending, so keep your eyes open!
