Author evening October 5. Monica Goksøyr // Bad girls - Conversation with Odd Goksøyr
Odd Goksøyr guides us steadily through the evening, and we also get to enjoy some musical touches from Odd along the way.
Monica Goksøyr, born in 1990, grew up on Runde. She lives in Oslo and works as a lawyer. Monica made her debut as an author at Aschehoug publishing house with the short story collection "Slemme jenter" in August this year. The book, which is written in Nynorsk, has so far received good reviews in BT, Dag og Tid and Klassekampen.
- Odd Goksøyr is an experienced poet, author and troubadour. He made his debut with the poetry collection "Ein av dei vanlege dagane" at Noregs Boklag in 1976, and has since worked on an impressive collection. Worth mentioning is "aljamarkiR" published in 2020, and 4 translated collections by Robert Bly (from 2014-2022). Most of it produced from 75 to 85, with very good reports in Klassekampen, Vinduet and Vårt Land among others.
Odd has translated 40 poems by Christine De Luca from Shetlandic - and no less than 20 songs by Cohen. Perhaps he will offer one of his Cohen songs this evening?
